United

It is a privilege to be an American and I am proud to be a citizen of the United States which serves countless people here and around the world in vital ways. It is a gift to be part of a people who care so deeply for others by serving in our Armed Forces, Police, EMT, Red Cross, Fire Departments, just to name a few, as well as every other noble occupation focused on making the lives of others better tomorrow than they were yesterday. The work of these great Americans are shared throughout all races, creeds and lifestyles. In my opinion I consider this a fact that makes us “United” !
I work with and meet all kinds of people. I find most courteous, kind and gracious. Some hold an open door, others say hello, some slow to allow me to merge in traffic, or simply offer a smile. It is an unfortunate few who live their lives in a hateful way, spreading their anger across their path. I know for sure that Americans by and large are good, hard working, honest and wonderful people. I believe that we are “United” in this way also.
There is no place for the divisiveness that berates us by the news and political pundants. I believe at the very heart of mankind we all want a future that expands our experience. We want to enjoy our lives, our loved ones and our work. This enjoyment spills into the landscape of our country benefiting us as a whole and ultimately flows into the world at large. This too makes us “United”.
I hope and trust that we all want what we believe to be the best for our Nation, our Republic, so forward we move with courage to vote our conscience. In addition, I can't help but sense the excitement in our nation as we await the fruition of this important Election. Our country feels as if it is on fire and this fiery energy is permeating everyone who is somewhat involved in this political process. It is both energizing and exhausting, the like of nothing I’ve ever experienced during any previous election. I am fairly sure that millions of people engaged in this process are “United” in feeling this way also.
Remember that we grow as individuals by being pushed past our edge, our comfort zone, and as a nation we do the same. I know our county is blessed and no matter what the outcome of this election, we will rise stronger and more expansive than ever. We will know for sure what we want in a clearer way and we will increase our focus calling it into our future. Obviously there is passion and desire on all sides for the direction of America. Our country’s path is a constant work in progress, righting the ship and making necessary changes and adjustments as we proceed into the unknown future. In any case change is always anxiety provoking but not devastating. We can choose to accept the results of this election or swim upstream pushing against the will of the people. It is said that energetically what we resist persists, and as Mother Teresa so wisely reminds us to demonstrate against war draws energy to war, while marching for peace is power filled ! I ask that we reflect on the will of the citizens of the United States of America and honor one another letting our differences melt away and search out that which binds us and makes us one. I know for sure that we have more in common than we allow ourselves to experience and it is within our personal power to decide if “Politicis” unites or divides us. We are One Nation Blessed by God, so let us open our hearts and minds and stand together.... United.....
God Bless America .......
Empowering tip of the day: Use your power to love your neighbor and do for one another as you would enjoy, for it is in the uplifting of others that we are lifted. Life reflects back to us exactly what we put forth, just as a mirror reflects back our own image. Be mindful and know that we the people of the United States of America cannot be divided by News Enterprises and Politicians whose intention it is to edify themselves. We must exercise our personal power and stand “United” for the good of our great Nation.
The decision is ultimately ours to live in Pity or Power... what will it be? We can only be in one.
Life is a journey, not a destination.
Feel free to post your questions and comments. I look forward to hearing from you. Remember we are all on this journey growing and learning as we go, so your input will bring enlightenment to many.
In Power, Peace & Love,
Mary Ann
